Richard park returned to the islanders line up several games ago. He is within the Islanders’ most elite players, and he probably has the best hockey sense out of all of them. He has the ability to create great plays. Will he Blackhawks defense stop him?

Before this game the everyone believed that the Islanders couldn’t beat the cunning, young Blackhawk team. The Islanders started out not being able to start any thing. A little bit later the Islanders started to put pressure on, and Mark Streit pushed forward into the Hawks’ zone, and rocketed a wrist shot right into the top corner. The Isles had a 1-0 lead, until the game was evened up by Versteeg of the Blackhawks.  The Richard park, and Frans Nielsen put one in the back of the net, to make it 3-1. All of this scoring occurred in the 2nd period of play. In the third Mark Streit took a shot from the point, that added up to his 2nd goal of the game. The Hawks would then get a 5-on-3 late in the game, and they used the advantage to pull their goalie. The Islanders got the 1st men out of the box, but the Hawks scored while they still had a power-play. Mark Streit took one shot at the empty net, but it missed, and that was the game. The star of the game was Peter Maminno. Making his 1st NHL start, he only allowed 2 goals. He made some amazing saves as well. In conclusion the islanders did an amazing job against Chicago, but the stars of the show were Mark Streit, and Peter Maminno.
